   I LOVE car time. You’ll have a ball. I wanted to tell you there’s a really good home-cooking place in Richmond Kentucky: you could have breakfast or a great lunch there (closed for dinner, I think). It’s called Jackson’s, and it’s at 203 South Third Street. Richmond is placed so you can exit at the north end, drive through town and hit Jackson’s, and then re-enter the freeway on the other side of town. Their breakfast menu is typical (and very good) but at lunch: heavens! They have a steam table loaded with the daily specials (old school favorites, you get a meat and point out the sides you’d like, meat and three, meat and four, etc) and they will also cook hamburgers etc to order. If you google it, you’ll find great reviews on TripAdvisor and Yelp, and a menu on Facebook. Maybe if you get an early start you can have breakfast there, or stop on your way home for lunch.

   Enjoy your time! My mom would have loved that.
