Monsignor Weiss, the pastor of St. Rose of Lima parish in Newtown, Connecticut, makes me proud and grateful to be a Catholic priest.
ABCNEWS.COM – ABC’s George Stephanopoulos discusses the shock of the school shooting with Monsignor Robert Weiss.
via Parish Priest Robert Weiss Discusses Grief and Stress of Shooting.
I am not a George Stephanopolous fan but I was so touched at the way he hugged Msgr Weis, who was breaking down, at the end of the story. It’s at times like these when such simple gestures say volumes.
It was a touch from the reporter that released the tears of the pastor which moved the reporter to embrace the man of God. It was a holy moment.
It is human touch we all so desperately need in these times, in all times
God bless him and the work he has to do

I too felt proud of Msgr. Weiss, and have so many kind things that have happened, since he is on the front lines, God will be with him in a mighty way for all those in grief!!
