There is something about Fatima that feels very soothing and safe, and not just at the Chapel of Apparitions. The whole town, literally the whole town is peaceful, reverent and respectful.

With Open Doors 
It would be wonderful if we could some how export this feeling to the rest of the world. We sure could use it today just about every where out side Fatima. Mary pray for us.

Your description is just how I remember Medjugorje (the whole village) to be, and this even when part of a Communist regime at the time. Wee bits of Heaven on Earth.
